Hamas: Over 40 dead in attacks on Gaza City
42 people have been killed in Israeli bombings against the city of Gaza, Hamas-controlled authorities told Reuters. Israeli warplanes reportedly bombed two different targets in close succession on Saturday. Among other things, a refugee camp is said to have been hit.
Israel confirms that it carried out bombings but claims that it hit military targets, one of which is said to be a high-ranking Hamas member.

Red Cross office damaged - over 20 dead in attack
More than 20 people have died and 45 injured after Friday's attack on a tent camp in Mawasi in Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) states that projectiles struck next to a tent camp where several hundred civilians and health workers live.
The ICRC adds that the organization's office was damaged in the shooting. It is not written who is supposed to have been behind the attack. Witnesses tell AP that the shelling came from Israel, something the Israeli army denies.
Israel has on several previous occasions shelled targets near the "humanitarian zone" in Mawasi, a place without running water or sewage.
