Recently, voices have been raised about Joe Biden's age and health.

Now the Democrat Lloyd Doggett is saying that the president should retire.

- I hope that he will make the painful and difficult decision to resign, he says.

Now the first Democrat is saying that US president Joe Biden Joe Biden should withdraw as a candidate for the presidency, AP reports.

- Unlike Trump, Biden has always prioritized the United States and not himself, and I hope he will make the painful and difficult decision to resign, says Democratic congressman Lloyd Doggett.

Joe Biden's political opponents have long questioned his state of health. Now votes are also being raised within the president's own party.

- My decision to make these strong reservations public is not done lightly, nor does it in any way diminish my respect for all that President Biden has achieved, Lloyd Doggett continues.

Discussion about health after the debate

The debate about Joe Biden's health gained new momentum after he recently debated against Republican representative Donald Trump. He stumbled over the words, hesitated and lost himself several times.

The effort was described as both wobbly and incoherent - something that he himself commented on at the time.

- I don't debate as well as I used to, but I know what I know - I know how to tell the truth, he said after the debate.

After the appearance, Biden's team has had crisis meetings and there are also reports that they want to replace him with another candidate before the fall presidential election.
