Labor heading for expected landslide victory - Tories heading for worst election in history

Polling stations in Great Britain have closed. According to a first polling station survey, social democratic Labor wins, as expected, a landslide victory and receives 410 seats in the lower house of parliament.

Thus, Labor leader Keir Starmer will lead the country with a secure majority of his own – the limit is 326 seats.

Conservative Tories, led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, plummet to 131 seats. It is the worst result the party has ever received since its founding in 1834. Thus, Tories' 14-year rule is over.

The Liberal Democrats become the third largest with 61 mandates. Nigel Farage's right-wing populist Reform UK becomes the fourth largest with 13 seats.

The survey, which is carried out by the polling institute Ipsos, has been shown to be highly accurate and is a good indication of the final election results, which are expected on Friday morning.
