Disney heir stops donating - until Biden steps down
Abigail Disney says she will freeze donations to Democrats until Joe Biden drops out of the presidential campaign. This is reported by CNBC.
The Disney heiress, who previously gave large sums to the party, says that she is "absolutely sure" that they will lose if Biden is not replaced.
- This is realism, not disrespect. Biden is a good man who has served his country admirably, but the stakes are far too high.
Another major contributor, philanthropist Gideon Stein, says he stopped $3.5 million in donations.

Heavy TV interview could decide the fate of the Biden campaign
An exclusive TV interview on ABC News on Friday could be Joe Biden's last chance to save his presidential campaign after the disastrous debate effort last week, writes DN. The channel has changed the schedule so that the interview is broadcast in its entirety at prime time.
Jakob Stenberg, who runs the podcast "Congress" about American politics, says that Biden must now show that he can be clear, rigorous and powerful.
- If he were to behave in a similar way as in the debate, there will be a hurricane within the party. It would be yet another proof for worried Democrats about what the situation is, says Stenberg.
According to information to the New York Times, Biden himself should have said that the coming weekend, and especially the interview on ABC, is decisive for whether he will be able to continue his campaign.
