Trump hints at Rubio: I think they will nominate him
Former president Donald Trump continues to build up the tension around who he will choose as a candidate for vice president ahead of the presidential election this fall.
"I think they probably think I'm going to announce that Marco [Rubio] is going to be vice president," Trump said at a rally in Florida on Tuesday night, according to CNN.
Trump is expected to name a vice presidential candidate in the near future. It has been speculated whether it will be Senator Marco Rubio, who also spoke at the same election rally in Florida.
At the election meeting, Trump also took the opportunity to challenge President Joe Biden to another debate - this time without moderation, the BBC writes.

Analysis: Democrats are critical – but do nothing
There is a lot of talk and little work among the Democrats who want Joe Biden to end his presidential candidacy. This is what the New York Times' Annie Karni writes in an analysis. The reluctance to act is reminiscent of how Republicans behaved during Donald Trump's time in power, she thinks.
"They criticized and mocked Trump in private but swore their total confidence in him in public - or simply chose to turn a blind eye," writes Karni.
The Bidens have insisted on staying in the presidential race and have managed to bring along top Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, notes Politico's Adam Cancryn.
"The pressure is increasing, at least for the time being, on the Democrats to stick together. And for perhaps the first time since last month's debate, Biden's foothold within the party has become a little firmer," he writes.

Democratic senator: Trump will win against Biden
Michael Bennet is the first Democratic senator to publicly come out and warn that Joe Biden will lose to Donald Trump in the US presidential election.
- I haven't seen anything that even comes close to the kind of plan we need from the White House that can show how he (Biden) can actually beat Trump, says Bennet in an interview with CNN.
Support for Biden within the Democrats is divided after the president's criticized performance in the debate against Trump in June. Biden himself has announced that he sees himself as the most qualified presidential candidate.
