Here the king drives a red tractor.

Prince Daniel and Queen Silvia sit on the hayloft.

- Säpo blocked the road, says Mikael Johansson, who drove by.

During the sunny Saturday in July, Mikael Johansson got a pleasant surprise when he was on his way home from the holiday week on  Öland.

- When we drove on the road, it was blocked off, I saw that it was säpo there and then the royal family arrived. The king drove his fine old tractor, says Mikael.

Prince Daniel and Queen Silvia sat on the tractor's hayloft, and further back Crown Princess Viktoria and Princess Estelle rode on horseback.

- It was fun to see, it's cool to see them so free, it really felt like they were free.

However, it is not always permitted to drive tractors and trailers on footpaths and cycle paths.

According to the police, you can do it if there is no other way to get to the place you are going to.

You must also, with a trailer behind the tractor, have a sign for slow-moving vehicles, according to the police.
