Prosecutors interrogate first lady about luxury bag and stock fiddling
Kim Keon Hee, married to South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, has been questioned by a prosecutor about stock manipulation and bribery linked to a Dior bag worth more than 20,000 kroner. This is reported by international news agencies.
The issue of the bag, which as a gift breaks rules for public officials, is said to have contributed to the party's defeat in the April election when it failed to win back a majority. South Korean President Yoon initially described the scandal as a "political game", but later apologized, calling the incident "unwise".
The interrogation lasted twelve hours, writes Yonhap and refers to the prosecutor's office in Seoul.
