Joe Biden's blunder in the speech: Introduced Zelenskyi as "President Putin"
US President Joe Biden made a blunder when he spoke at the NATO summit in Washington. After a short speech, he was going to introduce Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, but then called him "President Putin".
- Putin? President Zelensky. I'm so focused on winning against Putin, Biden said.
- I am better, answered Zelensky and laughed.
The speech was described in advance as a "speech of doom" for Biden. He faces increasing criticism over his advanced age, and the entire Democratic Party's eyes were therefore on the speech, which was seen as an opportunity for Biden to win back trust or erode it further.

Additional resignation demands on Biden: "It's time"
Democratic congressmen Ed Case from Hawaii and Greg Stanton from Arizona demand that Joe Biden withdraw from the fall presidential election, US media write. Thus, 14 congressmen from the party now want Biden to drop out.
"The stakes in this year's election could not have been higher, and it is therefore time for the president to hand over the baton to a new generation of leaders," writes Stanton in a post on X.
Despite resignation calls from congressmen, donors and movie stars, Joe Biden is determined to stay in the race.
