"I appreciate that President Zelensky called me because I, as your next president of the United States, will bring peace to the world and end the war that has cost many lives and destroyed countless innocent families," Donald Trump writes on his platform Truth Social, according to AFP.

"We agreed with President Trump to discuss at a personal meeting what measures can make the peace fair and truly lasting," Zelensky wrote on X.

Stoltenberg: Europe must be ready for ten years of war

Jens Stoltenberg calls on Europe to get ready for the war in Ukraine to last a decade - or even longer.

That is what NATO's outgoing Secretary General says in an interview with the BBC.

Stoltenberg's main message is that the stronger the support for Ukraine is now, the faster the war can end.

- The paradox is that President Putin now thinks he can wait us out. That is why the war continues, says the NATO chief.

Now the outside world must be clear that the support for Ukraine is very long-term, he continues.

- Now is the time to stand up for freedom and democracy, and the place for that is Ukraine.

Three pro-Russian hackers arrested - suspected of cyber attacks

Three pro-Russian hackers have been arrested in Spain on suspicion of cyber attacks against Spain and other NATO countries that support Ukraine. This is stated by Spanish police, Reuters reports.

Among other things, those arrested are said to have participated in overload attacks against public institutions for "terrorist purposes", the police announce.

The police have published a video on X from a raid at the home of one of the suspects where a hammer and sickle flag is seen hanging on the wall, according to the news agency. The hacker group to which the suspects belong has been one of the most active since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
