Great Britain sends warships to Cyprus

Great Britain is sending the destroyer HMS Dragon and helicopters with anti-drone weapons to Cyprus, Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced according to Sky News.

The purpose is to protect the British air base RAF Akrotiri from Iranian missiles and drones after previous attacks.

– We will always protect the interests of Britain and our allies, says Starmer.

HMS Dragon is a Type 45 destroyer, the only British military equipment capable of shooting down ballistic missiles.

Trump threatens to stop all trade with Spain

The United States is threatening to stop all trade with Spain because of the country's defense investments. This is what Donald Trump said during a press conference at the White House, according to several media outlets.

Earlier on Tuesday, Spain decided that the United States cannot use Spanish bases in the ongoing attacks on Iran.

During the press conference, Trump vented his dissatisfaction with other European allies, including the UK.

Very few Europeans knew about the US and Israel's plans to attack Iran. This is what German MEP Hannah Neumann, who also chairs the delegation for relations with Iran, told CNBC.
