Iran's Foreign Minister: Strait of Hormuz open

The Strait of Hormuz is open to all commercial ships, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told X.

"In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz is open to passage for all commercial ships as long as the ceasefire is in effect," Araghchi wrote.

As a result of the war in the Middle East, Iran has essentially closed the Strait of Hormuz, which is important for oil trade, since Israel and the US attacked Iran on February 28.

As a result of Araghchi's statement on Friday, the price of oil has plummeted.
