Several countries did not sign the Ukraine Communiqué
Saudi Arabia, India, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates were among the countries that did not sign the final communique after the summit on Ukraine, Reuters reports.
Exactly why they chose not to sign is not clear. According to the Swiss organizers, representatives from more than 90 countries participated in the summit, and the vast majority signed the communique, which, among other things, requires that Ukraine's territorial integrity be respected.

Zelensky extends a hand to China: "Not enemies"
China did not attend the peace meeting on Ukraine, which was regretted by experts who believe that the country could play a good mediating role given its contacts with both Russia and the West.
At a press conference after the meeting, Ukrainian President Zelensky sent an appeal to Beijing to get involved in the peace negotiations, writes AFP.
- China can help us. Ukraine has never said that China is our enemy, he says.
He is also urging China to convey its peace proposals directly to him, rather than through the media, according to Reuters.

The demand from the meeting: Ukrainian territory must be respected
A framework for a peace plan in Ukraine has largely been established during this weekend's peace conference in Switzerland, AFP reports. Among other things, the roughly 90 countries have concluded that the territorial sovereignty of Ukraine, and of all other states, must be respected.
"We believe that dialogue between all parties is required for peace to be achieved," the final document states.
The countries also demand that all Ukrainian prisoners of war be exchanged for the Russian prisoners of war. They also demand the release of the thousands of children that Moscow has forcibly transferred to Russia.
- The international community united, says Ebba Busch (KD), who has represented Sweden during the meeting, to TT.
But not all the countries that participated are behind the final document, including India, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Russia did not participate.

Kuleba: There will come a time when we talk to Russia
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba opens the door for Russia to participate in future peace meetings, writes Reuters.
- We of course understand that there will come a time when it will be necessary to talk to Russia, he told reporters during the peace meeting in Switzerland, which ends today.
At the same time, Kuleba dismisses Vladimir Putin's demand that Ukraine hand over the four occupied regions and refrain from joining NATO.
On Sunday, the Kremlin also made a new statement about potential peace negotiations with Ukraine. According to spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin has not closed the door to negotiating with Ukraine.

Peace researcher: It's bad that China is not participating - could have a mediating role in the conflict
The fact that China is not at the Ukraine peace conference in Switzerland is bad. That's according to peace researcher Peter Wallensteen at Uppsala University.
- China is the one that has contacts with both sides and could function in a more mediating role, he tells SVT Nyheter.
Over 90 countries are participating in this weekend's conference, where the aim is to draw up a joint action plan for peace in Ukraine. Russia is not invited, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to involve Russia at the next peace summit.
- At the next peace meeting, we can bring an end to the war, Zelenskyj said on Saturday, according to Sveriges Radio.
The peace meeting ends on Sunday.
