Sources: The shooter also had pictures of Biden and the FBI director
Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot Donald Trump in the ear this weekend, had pictures of the former president on his phone. But the 20-year-old had also saved pictures of President Joe Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray, two sources told AP.
The news agency's sources also say that the 20-year-old must have googled "severe depression". However, it is still unclear if Crooks has been diagnosed with this.
In addition to searching for when Trump's speech in Pennsylvania would be held, Crooks had also looked up when the Democratic convention was taking place, according to the informants. ABC News has also been contacted by that information.
There is still no clear explanation as to why Crooks shot Trump, notes AP.

Analysis: Do tech execs love Trump – or are they just afraid of Lina Khan?
After several tech executives from the usually liberal Silicon Valley declared their support for Donald Trump, CNN's Allison Morrow asks in an analyzing text "what has flown in the boys".
"Probably it's not that they're suddenly passionate about far-right Christian extremism or have a weakness for red baseball caps. They are probably fighting for their profits," she writes.
According to Morrow, the billionaires don't have to be fond of Trump or even his policies to want to unseat Biden, who unleashed trade commissioner Lina Khan on companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Meta. Something that probably scares other tech giants as well.
In Fortune, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld and Anthony Scaramucci write in an analysis that it is easy to get the impression that the entire Silicon Valley is behind Trump. But that is not the case, they note.
"Most of the prominent voices in tech are not Trump supporters and never have been," they write and list a long list of heavy names.
Perhaps that's because many businesses believe there are reasons to worry about the Commerce Commission even if Trump takes over.
Donald Trump's new running mate JD Vance said in February, Sonnenfeld and Scaramucci note, that Lina Khan is the only one in the Biden administration who is doing a good job.
