Slantzingling and silenced mics - here are the details for the first debate
CNN has released more details about the schedule for the first presidential debate between Biden and Trump on June 27.
Among other things, both candidates' campaigns have agreed to alternating muted microphones. The microphones will only be on when it is the respective candidate's turn to speak.
Candidates are also not allowed to bring any prescribed notes onto the podium. The only props allowed are a piece of paper, a pen and a bottle of water. The candidates' place on the podium will be decided by single coin.
It is the first time in four years that Donald Trump and Joe Biden meet in a debate. During the 2020 election campaign, the first televised debate ended with the candidates interrupting each other almost a hundred times. Even then, the TV channels took measures such as switching off microphones.

Biden raised over 28 million at the star-studded gala
Joe Biden's presidential campaign raised more than $28 million — the most ever for a Democratic candidate — ahead of a fundraising gala on Saturday. This is stated by Biden's campaign representative, reports CNN.
Saturday's gala was a celebrity-studded story. Several Hollywood stars, including George Clooney and Julia Roberts, were present at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. On stage, Biden and former President Barack Obama were interviewed by host Jimmy Kimmel.
However, Biden's record is not close to that of Donald Trump, whose campaign representatives in April stated that they collected more than 50 million dollars at one and the same time, writes CBS.
