Donald Trump gets his Facebook and Instagram accounts back.

This is announced by the ownership company Meta.

- We have always believed that Americans should be able to hear what those who want to lead the country have to say, says
Meta manager Nick Clegg to Axios.

Meta lifts restrictions on Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Among other things, Trump has had advertising bans and risked account suspension if he were to break the company's rules.

- We have always believed that Americans should be able to hear what those who want to lead the country have to say. We don't want to stand in the way of that, says Meta's head of global affairs, former British Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg to Axios.

In 2021, shortly after storming the Capitol, he was banned from social media platforms indefinitely.

- We believe that the risk of letting the president use our services during this period is too great. Therefore, we are extending the blocking of his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely, and in any case for the next two weeks until the peaceful transfer of power is completed, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in 2021.
