Over 3,000 killed by Israel in Lebanon since March

Over 3,000 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.

Among the 3,020 dead are 292 women and 211 children, as well as 116 health workers, according to the ministry.

The Lebanese Shia militia Hezbollah attacked Israel on March 2, in retaliation for Israel and the US attack on Iran on February 28, which led to Israel's escalation in Lebanon.

Israel has invaded and occupied parts of southern Lebanon and has carried out extensive demolitions of buildings there. The Israeli attacks have forced over a million people to flee their homes.

A ceasefire has been in place between Israel and Lebanon since April 17, but both sides accuse each other of violating it.
