Russia: Has taken Kostiantynivka

The Kremlin claims that Russian forces have captured the eastern Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka, which is a junction where roads meet to several cities, such as Kramatorsk and Slovyansk.

“The town is now completely under our control,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared in uniform before his general staff in a television segment and thanked Russian soldiers after the alleged capture, saying it was of “great strategic importance.”
