The election in Israel was conducted properly and the result is accurate, the country’s election committee has concluded following an investigation into various objections and allegations.

Following last week’s election for the Knesset, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several of his allies claimed that Arab-Israeli parties had “stolen the election,” possibly with the help of a foreign power.

The election committee launched an investigation and now reports that all complaints received have been thoroughly examined.

“The review found no evidence of irregularities that compromised the integrity of the election or affected its outcome,” the committee stated. The security service Shin Bet is still conducting a separate investigation into potential foreign interference.

Netanyahu’s coalition, which includes several far-right parties, lost its parliamentary majority. Arab-Israeli parties gained ground and may play a decisive role in upcoming government formation negotiations.
