Israeli opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot says that the country’s four opposition parties remain committed to their campaign promise to remove Benjamin Netanyahu from power—though the parliamentary path to achieving this remains uncertain.

The statement regarding the opposition’s stance on Netanyahu and the Likud party during government negotiations followed a meeting of Israel’s four Jewish opposition parties on Tuesday in Herzliya, just north of Tel Aviv.

“The party leaders are united and will act immediately to replace the government that has been in power since October 7,” the opposition stated, according to The Times of Israel.

Furthermore, the parties declared that they will not cooperate with any party that fails to recognize Israel as a Jewish state or that does not condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization.
