Russia has carried out another dawn attack against Ukraine, Ukrainian authorities say. 
 
The offensive with kamikaze drones and robots is said to have been particularly aimed at energy facilities. 
 
Since October 10, nearly a third of the electricity grid has been knocked out. 
 
On Tuesday morning, several Ukrainian cities were subjected to new attacks. Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the president's office, says on Telegram that there is major damage to infrastructure. 
 
The attacks are part of an intensified long-range assault on targets across Ukraine, which comes after more than a month of Russian defeats on the battlefield. The aim is to cause extensive damage to Ukraine's energy distribution network, according to the British Ministry of Defence. 
 
On Twitter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky writes that Russian attacks have destroyed 30 percent of Ukraine's energy facilities since October 10.

According to Zelenskyj, the attacks have created massive power outages across the country. 
 
In Mykolaiv, one person is reported dead after a building was hit, according to mayor Vitalij Kim. 
 
In the city of Dnipro, around 30,000 residents are said to be without power after attacks on energy installations there. Parts of the city should also have problems with water supply, according to The Kyiv Independent.
 
Zhytomyr is also partially without power after attacks on energy facilities. The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, says two explosions have rocked the city during the morning. 
 
According to initial information, an industrial area has been attacked. 
 
The capital, Kyiv, has also been subjected to new attacks, where approximately 50,000 residents are without power. 
 
"Explosions again in Kyiv in the morning" writes the mayor Vitaly Klitschko in social media. 
 
Also on Monday morning, 28 "kamikaze drones" flew in over Kyiv( måndagsmorgonen flög 28 ”kamikazedrönare” in över Kiev), causing five explosions and killing at least one person.

Large prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine

On Monday, Russia and Ukraine carried out one of the largest prisoner exchanges of the war, writes Reuters.

A total of 218 prisoners were exchanged, 180 of whom were Ukrainian women, both Ukrainian and Russian officials said.  

Ukrainian presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak states that there were 12 civilians among the freed women. 

37 of those women had been captured after Russian forces seized control of the Azovstal steel plant in the port city of Mariupol, according to Yermak.  

The Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior states that some of the women have been in captivity since 2019. This was when they were detained by pro-Russian authorities in the Donbass region.
