The Democrats and Republicans are fighting for Pennsylvania in the midterm elections.

Both Biden and Trump end up sprinting in the swing state at the same time.

And the president now brings Obama up on stage.

"I miss you too. I'm glad to be back,” Obama said recently in a campaign speech.

There is rumbling ahead of the US congressional elections, which will take place on Tuesday, November 8. It is called a midterm election, because it takes place between presidential elections every four years. Now, above all, the party distribution in the US Congress in Washington DC is decided and gives an indication of the political future in the US and the presidential election in 2024.

With only days to go, the country now enters the final sprint of the mid-term elections. President Joe Biden and Donald Trump have traveled around the country. Now Biden picks up Obama on stage as a last move days before the election.

Three presidents in the same state

During Saturday, all three presidents, the current one and the two predecessors, will land in the state of Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is a swing state, also known as a swing state, which is of great importance in the election for both Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats' hope is that Barack Obama will help the party and Biden attract voters.

"I miss you too. I'm glad to be back," Obama said in a speech in Georgia earlier in the campaign, the New York Times reports.

Now Obama and Biden will be reunited in a joint stage performance at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Biden and Obama are campaigning for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro and Senate candidate John Fetterman.

-"I'm proud to be on stage with two presidents who both won in Pennsylvania," Fetterman told CBS News.

Nail biters between candidates

At the same time, Trump will hold a political meeting on behalf of the Republicans in the same state. He is campaigning for gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano and doctor Mehmet Oz, known from the television show Oprah, who is running for the Senate. The fight between Fetterman and Oz has been described as a nail-biter, with Fetterman leading by a narrow margin.

In the gubernatorial race, Shapiro leads by a significant margin over Mastriano, according to the New York Times.

Trump and Oz are expected to appear with Mastriano in western Pennsylvania on Saturday at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.

Some of the voters' most important election issues are the economy, inflation and the abortion battle. On Wednesday, President Joe Biden gave a prime-time speech (höll president Joe Biden tal) airing his concerns about the consequences if pro-choice deniers come to power, warning that "democracy is under threat."

- That is the road to chaos in the United States. It is unprecedented, illegal and un-American, he said in the speech.
