Ukraine intends to hide F-16 in foreign bases

Ukraine plans to store several of its new fighter jets at bases outside the country. This is reported by AP.

- A number of the planes will be stored at secure air bases outside Ukraine so that they will not be fired upon here, says Serhiy Holubtsob of the Ukrainian Air Force to Radio Free Europe.

Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway have pledged a total of 60 US F-16s to Ukraine. Right now, Ukrainian pilots are being trained on the model and deliveries are expected to take place later in the year.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously warned that Moscow may consider attacks on NATO countries if warplanes used in the war are kept there.
