This week, a committee in Parliament released a report indicating that members committed treason against Canada. Individual members must have received money from, and shared information with, foreign actors. Certain matters must also have been pursued according to demands from abroad.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has so far kept a low profile, but Conservative Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre is demanding the names of the members be released.

Scholz breaks the silence – worries about the right-wing wave

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has for the first time commented on the stinging defeat in the EU elections. According to Focus, he says that it is a disappointment for all parties in the government coalition.

Houthi militia: Captured aid workers are "spies"

The Houthi militia claims that the captured aid workers constitute an "American-Israeli spy cell". The group's intelligence chief says so in a televised statement on Monday, according to Reuters.

The rebel group arrested at least 20 aid workers in coordinated raids on, among other things, several UN offices around Yemen on Friday.

Among the prisoners are eleven UN employees and three employees of the US-funded democracy group National Democratic Institute, representatives of the Yemeni government told Reuters.

Helicopter carrying Malawi's vice president missing

Malawi's Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others are missing after the helicopter they were traveling in disappeared from radar. This is stated by the presidential office, according to the BBC.

The helicopter took off from the country's capital Lilongwe on Monday. It failed to land due to bad weather and continued towards Chikangawa Forest, according to The Zimbabwe Mail. Eyewitnesses are said to have seen a crash landing there.

President Lazarus Chakwer has ordered a search operation, according to the BBC.
