The Russian Invasion|The North Korea-Russia relationship
Sources: Russia can build on an alternative NATO
The speed with which countries like Russia, China and North Korea have put aside their past differences is surprising. This is stated by American intelligence sources for the Wall Street Journal.
The support Russia has received from Iran, China and North Korea during the war against Ukraine could also mark the beginning of a longer-term alliance. Not least because large parts of the support dealt with knowledge exchange and joint projects.
- This is something that Russia will have left after the war, says an intelligence source to the newspaper.
According to several sources, the collaboration is not yet about a new alliance of Nato character, but is definitely moving in that direction.

Israeli military: "Whoever thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong"
The fissures between Israel's political and military leadership seem to be becoming increasingly clear, AP reports.
On Wednesday, military spokesman Daniel Hagari appeared to question the relegation's stated goal of destroying Hamas.
- Hamas is an idea, Hamas is a party. It is rooted in the hearts of the people - whoever thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong, he told Channel 13.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's staff responded shortly afterwards with a statement stating that the goal of the war is to "destroy Hamas' ability to govern and fight" and that "the military, of course, is committed to this."
Earlier this week, Netanyahu expressed his frustration that the military was imposing daily "tactical pauses" in the fighting in Gaza.
- We have a country with an army, not an army with a country, Netanyahu is said to have said.

Senators spread fake seat claim from Biden
False claims that Joe Biden has demanded to sit down during an upcoming debate with Donald Trump have spread widely on the internet. According to USA Today's fact-checking team, the information has also been disseminated by Republicans in the Senate and House of Representatives, as well as the conservative Washington Reporter newspaper.
However, the information has been refuted by both Biden's staff and CNN, which organizes the debate.
"CNN's proposed format was for both candidates to stand, and both sides have agreed to those rules when they ran," CNN spokeswoman Emily Kuhn told Forbes.

The election in Great Britain
The Tories' headwind is increasing - heading for a historic low
Two more new polls suggest that Rishi Sunak and the Tory Party have a massive and historically large uphill battle ahead of the UK election on July 4.
A Sky News/Yougov poll shows that the ruling party looks set to win 108 seats, a drop of a whopping 264 seats. The opposition Labor party, meanwhile, looks set to gain 425 seats, an increase of 225 seats.
A Savanta/The Telegraph poll shows an even bigger victory for Labor – 516 seats to 53 for the Tories. Never before in Britain has an opposition party led such a recovery from one election to another.
In the latter measurement, there is yet another gloomy message for Sunak. In addition to the party's expected disaster numbers, Sunak looks set to become the first sitting prime minister to lose his seat in parliament.
Sunak's bodyguard arrested - believed to have bet on the election
A police officer who worked in the security team around British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been arrested on suspicion of gambling offences. According to the accusations, he has bet money on when this year's elections will be held, according to British media.
Sky News' information states that it is about several different games, one of which was at least 100 pounds, equivalent to just over SEK 1,300.
That the election will be held on 4 July was announced on 22 May. It is not clear when the games should have been placed.
