Fragments from Russian drone have been found in Romania

Fragments from a Russian drone have been found in the NATO country of Romania, the country's Ministry of Defense confirms according to Reuters.

It should apply to fragments from a drone of the Iranian-made Shahed model, which is also known as a kamikaze drone.

The fragments were found at a village near the border with Ukraine after overnight Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. They struck outside built-up areas and no one was injured.

Authorities are looking for possible more drone arrests. A total of three drones are said to have been in Romanian airspace.

Russian and Chinese bombers off Alaska

Two Chinese and two Russian strategic bombers flew over international waters near the US state of Alaska on Wednesday, AP writes.

Fighter jets from the US and Canada were sent up in response, the bilateral military command Norad said in a press release.

The news agency writes that the Russian military has long been active in the North Pacific but that the Chinese presence is a more recent phenomenon.

The Russian and Chinese planes were never in US or Canadian airspace.

ABC News reports that the unusual event occurred just hours before Joe Biden's address to the nation.
