New images show: American missile reportedly hit girls' school

Donald Trump is certain – Iran hit girls' school where 175 people died.

– They are very imprecise, as you know, with their weapons, he says.

But a new video shows that it was supposedly an American Tomahawk missile that hit.

175 people died, many of them children, when a girls' school in the city of Minab in Iran was hit by missiles. But no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, neither the US, Israel nor Iran.

Now a new video posted by the Iranian Mehr News Agency and verified by both the 

New York Times

and the journalist organization Bellingcat shows that it was an American Tomahawk missile that hit the school.

But President

 Donald Trump

 says that Iran is behind it.

– My understanding and from what I have seen, it was Iran that did it, he answered this weekend when asked by the New York Times if it was the US.

“Only Iran attacks civilians”

The New York Times has, using satellite images, posts on social media and other video clips, verified the video that shows that the school was heavily damaged in connection with several attacks on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military bases.

The video is filmed from a building nearby and when it pans to the right, large clouds of smoke can be seen rising from the area around the school, which indicates that it was hit just before the military base, writes the New York Times.

Only the US uses Tomahawk missiles and they have previously stated that they are investigating what happened and who issued the attack.

But Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says, in the same vein as Donald Trump, that they do not attack civilian targets.

– The only side that attacks civilians is Iran, he told the New York Times.

Israel, in turn, has said that it does not recognize any attacks from either the US or Israel in the area.
