Trump: US Arms Giants to Quadruple Production

After a “very good meeting”, the US’s largest defense manufacturers have agreed to quadruple production of advanced precision weapons. Donald Trump writes on Truth Social.

“We have an almost unlimited supply of ammunition in the mid- and upper mid-range, which we use in Iran, for example, and recently used in Venezuela. Regardless of this, we have also increased orders at these levels.”

Rapid gas prices could lead to more expensive fertilizer – and more expensive food

The gas price surge in the wake of the conflict in the Middle East is not only disrupting Europe’s electricity production. It also increases the price of fertilizer, which could have consequences for food prices, writes EFN.

Earlier this week, Norwegian fertilizer manufacturer Yara stopped its sales to several countries, after a spike in gas prices.

Palle Borgström, chairman of the Swedish Farmers' Association, tells the site that there are only a handful of manufacturers in Europe.

– It is simply a lack of competition.
