Arabförbundet kallar till krismöte efter attacker

Arabförbundets utrikesministrar kommer att hålla ett krismöte på söndag angående attackerna från Iran, rapporterar AFP. Flera av förbundets länder har utsatts för attacker med missiler eller drönare från Iran.

Arabförbundets generalsekreterare Ahmed Aboul Gheit har tidigare fördömt de iranska attackerna, som är ett svar på amerikanska och israeliska attacker mot landet. I ett uttalande kallade han Irans agerande ett "allvarligt strategiskt misstag" som riskerar att skapa djup fientlighet mellan Iran och dess arabiska grannar.

Tidigare på lördagen meddelade Irans president Masoud Pezeshkian att landet inte längre kommer att attackera grannländerna, så länge Iran inte attackeras från ländernas territorium. Han bad också om ursäkt

Information about ground fighting between Israel and Hezbollah

Ground fighting reportedly broke out on the border between Lebanon and Syria overnight after Israeli troops tried to enter Lebanon. This is reported by AFP, citing the state news agency NNA.

The Iran-backed Shiite militia Hezbollah claims to be involved and the fighting is said to have taken place near a Hezbollah-controlled area.

The information has not been confirmed by Israel, but the country has carried out several attacks on Hezbollah targets in the past week and sent soldiers across the border to several locations in southern Lebanon, writes TT.

If the new information is correct, it means that Israeli troops have penetrated deeper into Lebanon than they have since 2024, writes AFP.

Dubai airport temporarily closed after explosions

Dubai airport was closed to all traffic on Saturday morning. The announcement comes after explosions were heard over the airport during the night to Saturday, AFP reported. Shortly before 10 a.m., some traffic resumed, the airport announced on X.

Even before the announcement of the closure, the airline Emirates had stopped its flights to and from the airport, which is the world's busiest. On X, the company's travelers were urged not to come to the airport.

During the night, there have been reports of explosions over the airport and data from the website Flightradar24 shows how planes have been circulating in the air.
