Trump on site as dead soldiers return to the US

President Donald Trump is on site to receive the Americans who were killed in Kuwait.

The six coffins arrive at an air base in Delaware.

US President Donald Trump Donald Trump is currently on site at a military base in the city of Dover in the state of Delaware. There he will receive six coffins with the American soldiers who died in an Iranian attack in Kuwait during the war in the Middle East.

Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance are also on site.

Earlier this afternoon, Trump said that it is a “very sad situation”.

“They are great heroes for our country, and we will continue to see them as such,” he added.

The six soldiers have been identified as Major Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, Sergeant Noah L. Tietjens, 42, Captain Cody A. Khork, 35, Sergeant Nicole M. Amor, 39, Robert Marzan, 54 and Declan J. Coady, 20.

They were killed when a drone struck a port in Kuwait on Sunday.
