Turkey: Over 100 arrested in new IS raid
The Turkish anti-terror police have on Tuesday arrested 110 people suspected of having links to the Islamic State (IS), reports the state news agency Anadolu.
The arrested are accused of having organized classes in illegal associations, teaching children IS ideology, collecting money for the terrorist group and of having tried to recruit new IS members.
The arrests were carried out during coordinated raids in three provinces, with a focus mainly on Istanbul. In addition to four rifles and 90 cartridges, the police also seized documents and digital material.
Last week, Turkish police arrested over 300 people in 47 provinces in raids, including those targeting IS suspects, according to the country's Interior Ministry.
