Government buildings stormed during protests in Bolivia

Several government buildings have been stormed by protesters in the Bolivian city of La Paz, where clashes have erupted during protests against President Rodrigo Paz.

A protest leader has been charged with terrorism after the unrest.

Riot police used tear gas against protesters during clashes that lasted several hours.

Farmers, miners, teachers, other professional groups and indigenous peoples have led the protests, which have lasted for several weeks. During the protests, demands have been made for wage increases, economic stability and an end to the privatization of state-owned companies.
