The ISW think tank wrote in a report on Thursday that Russia continues to use the talks with the United States to delay negotiations on the war in Ukraine, and that it appears that the Kremlin remains uninterested in serious peace negotiations.

Witkoff and Putin will talk “as long as President Putin needs,” but no decisive results are expected, according to Peskov.

Instead, Peskov emphasizes that the two will talk about a “normalization” of US-Russia relations and an upcoming summit between Trump and Putin, reports AFP.
