The Russian embassy rejects allegations of Russian involvement in the incident with an explosive-laden drone at the airport in Leipzig/Halle, Germany on August 4.

This after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the ambassador on Tuesday.

In a post on Facebook, the Russian embassy in Sweden writes that there is no convincing evidence that the drones were of Russian origin and that the allegations are rather about German provocation "linked to the domestic political situation in Germany".

Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) says in a press release that the ambassador was summoned to "mark the sabotage attempt".

"Sweden gives its full support to Germany. Russia's attempts to intimidate us and undermine support for Ukraine will not succeed," she says.
