US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is resigning after 18 months, the White House says. He is the latest in a series of top military figures to leave their posts during Trump's term.

No reason was given for Driscoll's departure, but it has been reported that there were tensions between him and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

John Phelan left his post as US Navy Secretary in April, and several generals and admirals have previously been replaced.
