Man arrested following incident at airbase

British police confirm that a 22-year-old man has been arrested in London on suspicion of involvement in the incident at the Fairford airbase in western England.

This is the seventh arrest linked to the incident in late September, when five men were detained during an operation following suspicions of a planned terrorist attack.

Another person was arrested in London shortly thereafter.

All those previously arrested have been released on bail. However, questions surrounding the incident remain, as the US President has claimed it involved terror plots and hinted at links to Iran.

The US has also relocated several of the aircraft stationed at the base as a security measure.

RAF Fairford has been used by American bombers during decades of conflict in the Middle East, including this year's war against Iran.
