New government attacks in Yemen
Yemen’s internationally recognized government forces state that they have carried out several "targeted operations" against targets linked to the Iran-backed Houthi movement.
The statement from the military spokesperson comes hours after the Houthi movement claimed to have carried out an attack on an oil facility in Saudi Arabia.
Government forces also conducted attacks against Houthi targets on Saturday, including strikes on the capital, Sanaa.
A fragile ceasefire between the Houthi movement and Yemen’s internationally recognized government—which is militarily supported by Saudi Arabia—collapsed in July. The country's civil war has been ongoing for over a decade.
