Trump’s USA

The US Midterm Elections
Trump losing his hold on Latino voters

Latino voters in the US—whose dramatic shift toward Trump in 2024 helped secure him a second term—are largely beginning to swing back to the Democrats ahead of the midterm elections. This is according to two polls cited by Axios.

An NBC News/Telemundo poll shows that 59 percent of Latino voters want to see a Democratic majority in Congress, while a CBS News/YouGov poll puts the figure at 60 percent.

Latino men, in particular, have changed their stance. Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden won big among this demographic in 2016 and 2020, respectively, but Trump won by ten percentage points in 2024. Today, 53 percent of Latino men want to see a Democratic majority.

Trump’s press secretary lands new job at Fox News

Donald Trump has recruited a number of Fox News personalities to his administration. Now, one is moving in the opposite direction, reports The New York Times.

Karoline Leavitt, who until recently served as the White House’s combative press secretary, is joining Fox News next month.

The 29-year-old was the youngest White House press secretary in history. She stepped down from the role in August to spend more time with her two young children, pledging to remain "an outspoken champion for MAGA and the Republicans." She is taking on an on-air role and is expected to appear in both opinion and news segments on the channel starting November 1.
