Netanyahu meets Donald Trump at the White House

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has arrived at the White House for talks with US President Donald Trump, AFP reports.

They will discuss the tense situation surrounding Iran. The visit comes after the US and Iran resumed indirect negotiations on the Iranian nuclear energy program.

The previous round of negotiations collapsed after Israel's attack on Iran this summer.

Before the meeting at the White House, Netanyahu met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and officially signed his entry into Trump's so-called peace council, The Times of Israel reports.
