Another regime critic arrested in Iran

The Revolutionary Guard has arrested Javad Emam, spokesman for the main coalition of the Iranian reform movement, local media reports.

The arrest took place at Javad Emam's home early Sunday morning, the reformist daily Shargh and the pro-regime news agency Fars reported.

On Sunday, it was also reported that three leading activists within the same movement have been arrested, a few weeks after the authorities cracked down on mass protests critical of the regime that have erupted in the country. Tens of thousands of demonstrators critical of the regime have reportedly been arrested in recent weeks.

The judiciary's Mizan news agency reported on Sunday that several arrests had been made, but without giving any names.
