Mexican ships with emergency aid to Cuba

Mexico has sent two ships with humanitarian aid to Cuba, the country's foreign ministry announced on Sunday.

The cargo is said to consist of 814 tons of food and supplies.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has previously said that the country will send aid. At the same time, US President Donald Trump has threatened punitive tariffs against countries that supply Cuba with oil and specifically urged Mexico to stop its oil exports to the communist state.ck
