Expert: Norwegian oil and gas Putin's main target in Europe
The Norwegian gas and oil industry runs the highest risk of being exposed to a Russian attack in Europe. That's what Geir Hågen Karlsen, lieutenant colonel and senior lecturer at the Norwegian Defense Academy, tells Dagbladet.
Norway is now the main supplier of gas to the EU after Russia almost stopped, so for Putin, sabotaging Norwegian industry would be a strategic move. At the same time, Norway has strengthened its preparedness for this type of attack at sea after the attacks on Nord Stream 2.
- This is taken very seriously, not only by us, but by all our allies. An attack on Norway would be an attack on the whole of NATO. We are vigilant, and there are many very competent people who work with these issues every day, says Geir Hågen Karlsen.

Sources: Kremlin demanded secret burial for Prigozhin
Wagner conductor Yevgeny Prigozhin's funeral was kept secret on Kremlin orders, the Moscow Times reports, citing two unnamed senior Russian officials.
According to the sources, they wanted to avoid crowds, mercenaries and sympathizers near the cemetery. They also wanted to avoid a situation where videos and photos from the funeral began to abound on social media.
The decision on the private ceremony is said to have been made by high-ranking officials in the Kremlin and the Russian security service, the FSB.
The officials interviewed say that the Kremlin's decision was motivated by the fact that the Wagner leader aroused strong feelings among the Russian people. Something that worries the Russian leadership layer.
- We don't need heroes who marched on Moscow, one of the officials told the Moscow Times.
