US President Donald Trump is relying on Admiral Brad Cooper in the continued negotiations on Iran's nuclear energy program, while Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll returns to meetings about the Russian invasion war in Ukraine.

The announcement to appoint Cooper, who is commander of the US military command Centcom, to participate in the negotiations is seen as a new diplomatic tactic, writes AP.

Trump's decision is also seen as a warning to deploy military resources. Cooper was involved in the indirect talks between the US and Iran and participated in uniform.

Secretary of the Army Driscoll, with a past as a professional soldier, is continuously involved in Ukraine negotiations.

So far, Trump has largely relied on Steve Witkoff, the real estate magnate, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.
