Deadly attack on market in Sudan

A drone attack on a market in central Sudan has killed about 30 people and injured many more, according to a human rights group in the region.

Several drones were used in the attack that took place on Sunday at the al-Safiya market outside the city of Sodari. The information comes from an organization that calls itself the Emergency Lawyers, which has monitored developments in the civil war that has been going on for almost three years.

The fighting is between the rival Sudanese army and the paramilitary RSF (Rapid Support Forces), and the civilian population is suffering enormously.

It has not been confirmed who was behind the drone attacks in the North Kordofan region.
