The “most important issues” will be discussed when representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the United States meet in Geneva, Switzerland, this week, according to the Russian power headquarters, the Kremlin.

– This time we plan to discuss a broader range of topics, focusing on the central issues related to territories and other claims, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according to Reuters.

The talks in Geneva are scheduled to take place Tuesday-Wednesday. Russia will be represented by President Vladimir Putin's advisers Vladimir Medinsky and Kirill Dmitriev, as well as military intelligence chief Igor Kostyukov, Peskov said.

Russia has so far refused to back down from its far-reaching demands that Ukraine give up territory, primarily Donbass in the east, in order to conclude a peace agreement.
