Volvo to recall thousands of cars after battery failure

Volvo Cars is to recall over 40,000 EX30 cars due to the risk of overheating in the battery, according to a statement to Reuters.

- We are in the process of contacting all owners of cars that are affected to advise them on the next steps, say representatives for Volvo.

According to Volvo Cars, the problem has been addressed and the same manufacturer will provide the new batteries.

The model is important for Volvo Cars to be able to compete against other, cheaper competitors in the Chinese market. "Therefore, they must get the problem right," emphasizes Autoforecast Solutions CEO Sam Fiorani to the news agency.

At the close of the Stockholm Stock Exchange, the share was down 4 percent.

Spotify's new AI function creates playlists based on prompts

An AI function that converts prompts into personal playlists is now available to Spotify users in Sweden. This is stated in a press release.

Through the function, the beta version of which has also been rolled out in the UK, Ireland and Australia, the app produces music taking into account what is trending at the moment.

Users can also choose to have the AI-generated lists updated at regular intervals to find new music.

Sources: Paramount raises bid for Warner Bros Discovery

Warner Bros Discovery is currently waiting for bidder Paramount's "best and final offer", after the entertainment giant reopened negotiations last week.

The deadline expires on Monday.

According to previous communications, Paramount is expected to make a bid of over $31 per share. Now Variety reports that the price will likely land even higher, at $32 per share.

After Paramount submits its new bid, Netflix, which is also in the running to buy Warner Bros Discovery, has four days to make a counter-bid or withdraw.
