Woke up – continued to argue: Sick and crazy
Donald Trump succeeded in the coup during the fateful speech.
Then he continued the argument 14 hours later.
And suggested that two congressmen should be deported – along with actor Robert De Niro.
“They should be put on a boat,” he says.
The attack came at noon, after a night of sleep and about 14 hours after the chaos in the chamber during the State of the Union on Tuesday night.
In an unflattering post on Truth Social, Donald Trump wrote that Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, members of the House of Representatives for the Democrats, “should be sent back to where they came from – as soon as possible” because “they were nothing but a harm to the United States”.

He also suggested that they be “put on a boat with the deranged and sick Robert de Niro”.
It was about an hour into the State of the Union address to Congress on Tuesday night that Trump made the move that would later be repeated countless times on television and in social media posts.
After a long exposition about the criminality of migrants, he challenged all members of Congress present to stand up if they supported the view that the United States’ primary responsibility is to its own citizens, not to “illegal immigrants.”
All Republicans stood up.
Most Democrats, who had said before the speech that they “would not allow themselves to be props in Trump’s speech,” remained seated, motionless.
Chaos in the House
According to many political experts in the US, the result of the challenge was exactly the outcome the White House believed and hoped for,
Trump looked and pointed towards the side of the House where the Democratic members were sitting.
– How can you not stand up? You should be ashamed, he said several times.
The move caused several Democrats to start shouting directly into the House against the president, including Omar and Tlaib.
– You killed Americans, shouted Omar, who is from Minneapolis where federal agents killed two American citizens during the hunt for undocumented migrants.
The chaos became the turning point during Trump's State of the Union, the annual address in which the president addresses the people and the assembled Congress from the Capitol.
Free beer for three quarters
Before that, the speech was unexpectedly free of harsh words.
A bar in Washington, DC, that promised free beer from 9 p.m. until Trump's first insult was allowed to serve drinks for 45 minutes before closing the bill when the president spoke about "Biden and his corrupt partners in Congress," writes the Washington Post.
But during the second hour, Trump returned several times to his opponents: "Democrats are crazy, can only win by cheating, are destroying our country," and so on.
In preparation for the speech, Trump's advisers had tried to make him appear empathetic to people's difficulties coping with the economy.
But there was concern that he would not be able to stick to the script.
Practice with podium
“I’m worried that the speech will degenerate into complaints that no one is giving him enough recognition,” one of Trump’s advisers told CNN before the speech.
However, the staff managed to get him to practice properly and a podium was brought into the private apartment of the White House so that he could hone his speech.
In conservative media, a big deal was made of the Democrats’ reluctance to stand up to Trump’s challenge.
And in the post on Truth Social, the president really stokes the flames.
“When you watch low-IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib scream uncontrollably during last night’s elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging and bloodshot eyes of crazy people. FOOLS. Mentally ill people who, frankly, look like they should be in an institution,” Trump wrote.
Angry at “crying” De Niro
He also called Omar and Tlaib “dishonest and corrupt politicians” who “are nothing but a disservice to the United States” and should therefore be sent back as soon as possible.
It is unclear what Trump means by “sent back.”
Rashida Tlaib, 49, was raised in a Palestinian immigrant family, but was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.
Ilhan Omar, 43, was born in Somalia, but has lived in the United States since she was 12.
The president dragged Robert De Niro into his angry post because of the actor's emotional interview on a podcast where he called Trump "the enemy of the country" and urged people to "stand up" against him.
- Even if Trump were to die for some reason, from an illness or something like that. Parts of his movement will still be there and that's the scary thing. It needs to be neutralized by the people, De Niro said according to Variety.
