Iranian drone hits base with Italian soldiers
Iran warns other countries against getting involved in the war with the US and Israel, AFP reports. The statement comes after an Iranian drone hit a military base in Kuwait used by US and Italian forces.
The drone attack on the Ali al-Salem air base destroyed an Italian aircraft, but no one was injured, according to the Italian military.
Tehran has previously said that there is "plenty of evidence" that the US is using military bases in the Gulf countries for attacks on Iran. Yesterday, US President Donald Trump also urged other countries to send ships to ensure free passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi writes that the US military presence in the area "invites rather than deters problems".
Israel: “No schedule” for war in Iran – continues for at least three more weeks
Israel’s military IDF is planning at least three more weeks of military operations in Iran, spokeswoman Effie Defrin told CNN.
– We have thousands of targets ahead of us, he says.
According to Defrin, the IDF has coordinated plans with the United States until the Jewish holiday of Pesach in early April. There are also “deeper plans” for at least three weeks after that.
– We are not working based on a stopwatch or a schedule, but to achieve our goals, says Defrin.
Israel denies reports: No shortage of missiles
Israel has no shortage of anti-ballistic missiles, an Israeli military source tells AFP.
The statement contradicts previous reports that the missiles, which protect Israel against ballistic missile attacks, are running out.
– Right now, there is no shortage of anti-ballistic missiles. The IDF is prepared for a prolonged battle, the source said.
The IDF is “monitoring the situation continuously,” according to the source.
