Turkey: Israel is looking for more land

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan accuses Israel of using security as a pretext to subjugate new landmasses.

“Security is being used by (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s government as a pretext to occupy more land,” Fidan said at a conference in Antalya, Turkey.

“Israel must realize that the only way to live peacefully in the region is to let other countries have their own security, territorial integrity and freedom, and not to exert power over these countries.”

Relations between Israel and Turkey have steadily deteriorated alongside the wars in the Middle East in recent years.
