Trump: No arms shortage – but still Biden’s fault

Donald Trump has no strategy for the Iran war. This is clear from a telephone interview with the conservative television channel Real America’s Voice, writes Reuters.

The president says he has two options:

– One is what I’m doing now: just jump on and watch how badly things go for them.

The US has total control of all of Iran’s money, and Trump is “their banker,” the president claims.

The other option is to “hit them really hard,” he continues.

Trump dismisses warnings from experts and defense sources about the dwindling stockpile of weapons and ammunition. He says the US has plenty of ammunition and is producing more “like crazy.”

To the extent there is a shortage, it is due to all the support Joe Biden gave to Ukraine during his time in the White House, he adds.

Expert on alleged assassination plot: “Unlikely”

It is unlikely that Iran would dare to assassinate a sitting US president. This is what Aron Lund, Middle East analyst at the Swedish National Defence Research Institute (FOI), tells TT.

The veracity of the information is difficult to assess, he adds:

- But it is difficult to see why the US would act in this way if it did not believe there was a risk. You do not make Trump look strong and powerful by sneaking out the back door.

According to sources to the Washington Post, Trump was smuggled off Air Force One and taken to another plane in a catering cart when he was to be flown home from the NATO summit in Turkey in July. This was due to an Iranian attack threat, according to the information.
