A drone strike hit a tank holding 4.5 million liters of gasoline, sparking a huge fire in Zawiya on Libya’s Mediterranean coast on Monday.

The fire continued into Tuesday afternoon. Footage shown on local media showed huge flames and fireballs shooting from the tank, as black and orange smoke rose into the sky.

No one has claimed responsibility for the drone strike, which was the latest in a long line of attacks on oil infrastructure in Zawiya.

Libya has been divided for years between rival governments in the east and west, each backed by armed groups and foreign governments.
